It is about 7 PM. It has rained the past few days. So all of the kids are out in the yard digging for night crawlers. Those big juicy worms that wiggle and squirm.
The kids have tomorrow off from school for mid winter break. They are all excited. Dad is taking the day off and they are going fishing.
(woohooooo that means mommy gets free time)
As I sit on the porch and watch the little ones hunt worms. I hear them discussing how lucky Paige is that her dad will take her fishing. Every few seconds someone squeals "I got one....I got one." Off they all go running. Sure enough and it is a big one too.
That makes them 15 big old worms. they pack in some dirt and a little water. Snap the top on and punch some breathing wholes into the top of the container. Now they are good to go.
(noooooooooo worms in mommy's refrigerator)
They all scurry home and Paige comes in and gets a hot bath. She is so excited she can't hardly sleep. Finally it is morning she rushes to get dressed. Dad is up and fixing some breakfast and a few lunches.
Seems he has invited a few of her friends to come along with permission from their parents. He stops in town to get fishing license for him and our older son. Then off to the fishing dock they go.
Off to a hot soapy, relaxing bath mommy goes. Catch ya later. It is all in a day of family fun.
