Recently I ran a crossed a letter article entitled "Dear Adoption Agencies." It is listed on
The Adoption.Com web site that so generously supports my Older Child Adoption Blog. Which I do very much appreciate.
I enjoyed reading the Letter. It was well written by Susan M Ward of Older Child Adoption On Line Magazine.
It is a collective of ideas from Foster/Adoptive parents who needed to let the Agencies know that they need honesty and good information. I would recommend it to any new person entering in to our world of adoption or foster care.
It gives you good ideas on question you may want to ask about the child they are placing in your home or the one you have chosen to adopt.http://older-child.adoption.com/parenting/dear-adoption-agencies.html
Take a moment and read up. There's good information in that letter.
I personally liked the ideas Susan and her interviewed parents suggested about how to use swimming, rocking your child, hugging and touch. To over come attachment disorders. Those are all very positive ways to bond with your new child. Simple, easy and they work so well.
Thanks Adoption.com for telling us about these great sources of information.
