Adoption A Choice For Life

Today I speak to the children of adoption. The children who spend time wondering Why?

So many questions go through your mind and sometimes those very questions keep you from living a joyful life.

You allow your heart and soul to be broken because you worry that your birth parent did not love you.
You wonder why they did not keep you? You allow sadness to fill your life.

I do not know any mother on this earth that would want to place such a burden upon their child. For a mothers love is the closest thing to God's love that we see upon this earth.

If you are here it is because someone loved you so much they carried you for nine months and they gave life to you.

They might have loved you so much that they decided to allow you to be adopted. Instead of living the life that they felt they would give you if they kept you for themselves.

Once you are given an opportunity for life. It is up to you what you do with it. No parent would want their child sad or depressed.

Parents nurture and wish their children love and compassion. Good health and happiness. Not every parent can give that to their child. But if asked they would tell you...Yes I want my child to have everything I could not give them.

So let a healing begin. Reach out and touch the hand of a friend. Feel the warmth and love that they see inside you and wish to give back to you.
You are not alone. Your life is not empty.

Even if you could ask the Why's....Would the answer wash away all the years of wondering? I highly doubt that it would. So let go of the Why and take hold of your spirit. Be who you are. Bless others and have compassion on those near you that walk your same road. Show courage and the desire to live a free and loving life.

For one moment understand you are here because God allowed someone to love you enough to let you be born. Then realize God never makes mistakes.

You are a blessing in someone's life around you.
If you were not here...someone would miss you.
Your smile lights up someone else's world.
You just may not know it yet.

Regardless of where you come from...Take hold of where you are going. Be happy. Be complete. Be you.

After all there is no other person on earth just like you. We are wonderfully and mysteriously made.

Now go live....love and linger.

oh and i forgot to mention. i love the picture of the little brown angel. i'm sure no one else even took note of that, but i did. and so did my girls who happened to come into my study while i was reading your post. "ooooh. a brown angel." was all that my littlest one said. the older one looked at it for a good bit, then smiled and said "cuuute."

i thought that was interesting. we have brown angels all over the place, especially during the holidays on and around our Christmas tree. but for some reason, i guess this brown one seemed "out of place" to them? i don't know. anyway, it was a treat for our eyes.

small thing; trivial thing, for some. i know. but not for us.

That is a powerful statement even for those not adopted. I think it takes years and years for some people to get on with our lives - regardless of our childhoods.

Dr. G and Michelle,

As Always I am greatful for your comments and if what I write inspires one person then thats all I can ask for.

Just as our children are the colors of the rainbow. So should our angels and other clipart be.
I love angels and I collect them myself. Just as it is in my collection I have everything from Indian Angels to Green Angels. (Not sure if thats a Mars product or just a green healing light of the Angel lol)

But give your kids a high five.
I think she is beautiful myself.

Love and Hugs,
Shar
