Well after spending two months in a Foster Group Home for Independant Living. April will soon be coming home some time this week.
She will have a mentor working with her in our home to help her adjust.
This time with a plan to finish her education. Get a part time job. Open up her own bank account. With the endeavor of learning how to pay bills and buy her own personal needs out of the money she earns from her job.
Her plan is to remain living at home until she is 18 now. She said she is finished running away and causing problems. This time taught her that she wants to be at home with her family and not in a group home setting.
With this as a plan we have agreed one more time to try and help her finish school and achieve her goals.
With the understanding that if she runs away or causes an upset in our family again. She will be asked to leave and she will have to make it on her own. At 17 they can leave home in Michigan and the police will allow them to remain on their own. They will not help you find them or return them home.
April will have a number of set rules that she has to abide by. When she returns home. She needs the structure and we will provide it for her.
I do not expect her to be a different person. But I do expect her to take her medication and to keep her curfew. She will also do her own laundry and her own dishes. She will be asked to keep her own room and bedding cleaned once a week to our standards.
If she can do that and go to school we will be happy.
So stay tuned and we will give you up dates on Our Girl April.

This is my daughter April....So Angelic when she wants to be.
