Book Review: Cape Light

Well here I go again. As I sit here recovering from a bone infection in my foot. With a Pik Line IV in my upper left arm. I have been sulking and catching up on some of the books I have purchased and have never gotten around to reading.

One is the Thomas Kincade series about "Cape Light". I have found it to be such a refreshing group of intertwined lives of small town characters.

I must admit I began the series backwards since I thought that it is December and the book "A Christmas to Remember" would be the appropriate place for me to begin. I read that book and loved it so I followed on and began the book called "Cape Light."

In this book it goes back and tells about the history of the small costal town of Cape Light. Tucked away in the New England area where sea food and Crab boating is prime, and every holiday is celebrated to the hilt of it's nature.

This is where I found the character Sara tucked away in the pages of this book. A little girl who was born and given up for adoption in Maryland.
She is now a young woman and off in search of her birth mother and any family she may find.

I love how she uses her journal and loves to write. How she encourages others and shows her own fears of allowing her birth mother to know who she is. She gathers information on her birth mom, her birth grandmother and her aunt as well as the family history of her grandparents lives.

I would recommend any person who knows the desire of wanting to find a birth parent to read this book. It all turns out wonderful for Sara. I only wish it could turn out as beautiful for every adopted child in their personal search.

If you like good, clean, romantic characters with a passion for a home town life. This is an awesome read. I know I have fully enjoyed it. I did not want to put the books down. What will I do with out those characters to encourage me in my time of sulking and healing now lol....guess I will just read it again.
