Finding your place in the adoption world is sometimes a difficult decision to make. Making decisions like which agency to use, what type of child you want to adopt, what ages of children you want in your home. Will you adopt from your home state? Will you adopt through Foster Care? Will you seek private adoption? Or will you decide to adopt internationally?
When all those questions have been thought about and answered then there is all the red tape and paper work. So it takes time before you even get to the point of seeing children or meeting placing parents.
In international adoptions passports and medical updates are needed. There are regulations on how long you must stay in a country before you can adopt a child and there are times you can not bring the child with you back to your home country until everything is sealed and the adoption is completed.
You must have a lot of determination to enter the adoption world and to follow through to the wonderful stage of adoption. It was once said that we are "Changing the world...One child at a time." This is very often the true case of things.

Even with all the hassle of red tape, adoption was the best thing that has ever happened in my life except of course for my loving husband. There is not a day that goes by that I do not feel grateful for being a mother by the grace of God through our adoption.
For all of you out there thinking about it... it could be the right time to put your thoughts into action....Good Luck.
