One of the most amazing triumphs in the world today is the advances in the area of Medicine.

There are several Branches of Childrens Hospitals a crossed America that have the most brilliant doctors and interns, along with very compassionate nurses and staff that tend to the families of critically ill children.

We have watched as extroidanary operations have been done on the brain, heart and internal organs of very sick children and within a few months the child is back home with their family, playing in the yard.

It makes us very humble when we see a child regain a quality of life after experiencing the devastation of cancer or some other illness.

My own adopted son had major open heart surgery here in Detroits Chrildrens Hospital at the age of 14. He was born with a whole in his heart and it had not been detected until we had adopted him and he needed a sports physical for wrestling.

We were fortunate to have a world renowned doctor there to preform his surgery. He still has a bad valve that will need worked on at some other point in life. But for the past several years he has lived a happy, pain free, energetic life.

For parents with children who are ill. Please do not give up the faith and hope that something good can be done for your child.

The amazing changes in medicine alone has given those of us who fight with Diabetes and heart disease a better quality of life and a new hope.

My prayers and best wishes go out to our children as they face medical problems. But I do know that God has blessed the abilities of our Doctors and we are in good hands. There is hope. We must keep hold of our faith and let the miracles happen.
