The Family Watch Dog is a well known web site that allows you to type in your address and bring up a current map of any Child Sex Offenders that may be living in your area.

Everyone has rights and I respect that. Until they do something that makes your rights and the rights of your children more prominent than theirs.

It is always good to know the hot spots in your surrounding community. When do most of the trouble makers hang out and where is it safe for your children to play.

Family Watch Dog http://www.familywatchdog.us/ can help you locate Child Sex Offenders in your area and make your family and friends aware of where they live.

Good information can be the difference in being safe and being a victim. Pass the web site along to any of your friends who may have young children.

Community awareness will not only help the kids remain safe but it will help the offenders not to re offend and live peacefully in the community also.

Always remember that not everyone who is convicted of a crime is guilty. Some people take plea bargains and can be on a list and not deserve to be there. We do not want to misjudge and condemn people before we know who they are and more facts about the offence.

The Family WatchDog is just a tool to use to help keep our family safe. It is not to be used to harm the rights of anyone listed there in.

What are some other ways that we can keep our family safe? What kind of boundaries and rules have you set for your family that will keep them close and having fun all summer long?

It is always good to be aware of your surroundings. Make sure that if you walk at night that you do not walk alone and the area you walk in has good lighting.

Use the buddy system when ever possible. Little children should always have someone with them even for trips to the bathroom. Every member of your family can have a safe summer if you stop and use your common since.

This is good information. I checked my area and there are two child sex offenders with in the mile. One that lives right next to an elementary school.

Makes me wonder if that school is aware of him and keeps his picture/name fresh in the teachers/staff's mind so if they see him they recognize that he shouldn't be there immediately.

You are both very welcome. I would print the information on the one person by the school and make sure that the schools principle is aware of it.....when school begins next year.

Good information is what we are here to share.

Hugs,
Sharlene
