Good Summer Reading

If you have a child who does not like to read. I think maybe a change in reading materials may help out and encourage your child to soak into a good book for the summer.

Recently they brought to film one of the best books in a series of several books called The Cronicals of Narnia. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe was just released on video. It is like the fourth book in the collection but it may be a good way to inspire your child to read the set.

Another wonderful set of books to stir the imagination of a young reader is the Harry Potter collection.

There is a lot of controversy over the Harry Potter Collection in the Christian Society. However, I find the books filled with charming imagination and packed with suspense for the average young reader.
I find no harm in these books at all and they do not encourage a child to become a witch or anything else negative. They are well written and told as a story of a young boy who parents have passed away and he is being brought up by his uncles family.

So I highly recommend these books to adopted children who have good reading skills.

The Cronicles of Narnia come to life and inspire the goodness and love of family devotion in difficult times of betrayal and war. Asland the Lion, king of the jungle is humble enough to give his own life for the love of a human boy.

This collection might be more excepted by the Christian reader to enhance spiritual beliefs and a good imagination in children of all ages.

I would recommend these books as a family reading project. Maybe each evening after dinner or before bed it could be a time for family to sit around the living room and listen to mom or dad read from the pages of a good book.

Dive into a good book and enjoy the adventure and fun.
