Well it is time to remind everyone that Halloween Safety is not a joke. In todays world everyone must use wisdom when checking candy and dressing up for a night of Trick or Treating.
Here are some of my Safety Tips:
). Dress your child in a bright color. Glow in the dark strip tapes or bands can save lives.
). Make sure they have some time of flash light with them.
). If the children are older make sure they still trick or treat in groups. Safety is in numbers.
). All children under the age of 12 should have a parent or guardian with them in their Halloween group.
). Read the kids the riot act. No eating any candy, pop or chips until it has been checked by the local police scanning station.
). Drugs can be injected into candy and no obvious needle sight may be detected.
). Do not eat open candy or candy that looks tampered with.
). At the end of the night make sure one parent agrees to drive other children to their homes from your trick or treating group. No one should be left to walk home alone.
). Have a good time but watch for cars. Do not cross between parked cars. Safety first.
