Thailand is a well traveled vacation spot for people who enjoy natural beauty. It is full of night life and many people are drawn there because
children are bought and sold for sex in the back alleys of Bangkok.
"Thailand, officially the Kingdom of Thailand, is a country in Southeast Asia, bordering Laos and Cambodia to the east, the Gulf of Thailand and Malaysia to the south, and the Andaman Sea and Myanmar to the west. Thailand was also known as Siam (Thai: สยาม; IPA: [saˈjaːm]), which was the country's official name until May 11, 1949. The word Thai (ไทย) means "freedom" in the Thai language and is also the name of the majority Thai ethnic group."
The 2005 Census recorded that there were approximately 64,233,000 people living in this Kingdom.
I would say that the "freedom" that exposes children to the sexual predators of the world in Thailand. Is not they freedom that Thailand would like to be known for.
A few years ago 20/20 did a program on a few American men who were sexual predators of children. It showed how they went to Thailand on vacation and paid to have sex with young children there.
Just like in the case of JonBenet Patricia Ramsey. We knew her as the "Little Beauty Queen." Ten years ago she was found bound, beaten and sexually molested in the basement of her own home. The day after Christmas. For many years her own parents have been looked at as suspects in this little girls murder.
Here we are 10 years later. John Mark Karr a 41 year old school teacher. Left America and moved to Bangkok, Thailand. Hired to teach a second grade class there. Now the major suspect in the murder of JonBenet.
It is a shame that Patsy Ramsey lost her battle with cancer and passed away prior to this murder being convicted and her daughters murder laid to rest.
So what can be done for the children of Thailand? Is this one of the countries that we can adopt from? How will Thailand change its authority to disallow people like John Mark Karr from entering their Kingdom? How can they keep the sexual predators away?
For now all I know is the colors of the Thai Flag does not stand for "Freedom" when it comes to the Children of this Kingdom.
