How To Create Firm Founadations

Someone very wise once noted that we should build our house on a firm foundation.
So that when the winds and weather come upon us our house will with stand and remain strong.

Houses built on sand will fall. Those built to close to the shore will be destroyed. If we watch the news we know this is true.

But in all reality we are speaking of building our house with wisdom and truth. On a foundation of good morals and a planned path way to guide us through life.

We all know that children need something to believe in. The past few years our worlds talks of great mentors. Human mentors. However Humans make mistakes. So I prefer heavenly mentors. One's that will not let you down. Who will support you spiritually and physically when you need strength to stand on your own. But where do we find these mentors today.

Right in the same place they were yesterday. Through our faith. Open the bible. It is just like opening a history book and reading about Martin Luther King or looking up Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson or anyone else in history who taught us a was to over come hardships in life.

If you build your home with a stable faith in God and teach your children the values of truth, compassion, peace of mind, long suffering and endurance. You will give them a firm foundation to stand up on and when the winds of life hit they will have strength and faith to endure.

Children need to have faith in someone or something.
As children they see superman and songebob and spider man and the backyardagains. Why is it so difficult to put Vegitales or other spirit filled tapes in front of them. Giving them a believe in love and kindness. Compassion and strength.

Maybe mom and dad need to get back to the BASIC's along with the kids and learn some of the older values in life so they too have the strength to hold on when the winds gets strong.

It is just a thought? What is the foundation of your home built on? Spiritually and physically?
