How To Understand Children

Children are so different. There are no two children that are just alike. Not even in the world of twins. Identical Twins will still be different in action, thought, or attitude.

So how do we understand children? The first big key is to know that they are as individual as snowflakes. Even though some of the basics of parenting will still apply to every child, things like discipline, nurturing, and development Will all differ.

Here are a few good tips to understanding children:

1.) Every child needs positive reinforcement.
2.) Every child needs to be loved and nurtured.
3.) Every child needs a healthy diet.
4.) Every child needs to learn good hygiene.
5.) Every child needs to have discipline and rules.
6.) Every child needs good role models.
7.) Every child needs play time and activities.
8.) Every child needs plenty of good sleep.
9.) Every child needs to be touched and hugged.

10) Every child needs to feel secure and safe.

If they receive the basic needs listed above. All in good measure. Then the rest is a cake walk.
Sure there are many differences in children. Some like red and others like green. Some enjoy juice and others prefer milk. But the real basics are all the same.

As your child grows you will enjoy learning how they differ and you will be able to match discipline and rules to their individual need as time goes by.

Parenting is not nearly as scary as I thought it was. When you are a parent it is a life time commitment. But it is as rewarding as it is time consuming.

Watching your child become a young adult and make their own choices in life is one of the rewards that parents get for all of their efforts. Even if they make a few really bad choices. In the long run things usually work out if you have raised them with respect and kindness.

If you understand the basic needs of human life. Then understanding children is a breeze. Their love is unconditional. When a child loves you. They love you with their entire soul. They do not care about your faults and if you paid the bills on time. They just know you are the most important person in their life and they except you as just that.

If you except them the same way and love them with your heart and soul. You will always find the right answers. Because you will only be looking to bless your children and never harm them. It is just that simple. No manuals needed. Just the basics of life.
