January Sunshine

It may very well feel like spring time has hit your area but it simply has not.

This is one of the warmest January seasons we have ever experienced here in the upper Mid Michigan area. We have had one inch of snow that fell in late October and since then not one flake has managed to appear.

Every where I look there are children out in short sleeves and it alarms me. This false since of spring time could cause so many parents to relax and not make their children dress warm enough for the changing weather. Which will lead to alarming numbers of cold and sinus infections.

Every where you go you can hear some little child with a cough or stuffy nose. This is just a small factor of what the weird weather has been causing.
The damage it will do to our rivers and water tables in spring will be surprising also.

Just as flowers need sunshine in spring and summer.

The earth needs the snow and cold tempatures in winter. Right now you can see bulbs beginning to peak up through the ground. The weather is so warm it is fooling mother nature into a early growing seasons. Which will toss off the balance of spring crops and fall harvest if we do not get back to the norm.

Just as a reminder make your children keep warm and
wear an appropriate jacket. The tempatures tend to fall in the evenings and it is important to be prepared.

It is just a good idea to be prepared for whatever break the weather may take. As for now while it lasts.....enjoy the warm tempatures.
