When calling around to find my daughter April, I called a friend's house and when I asked if he had seen April, he burst out in laughter.
He then proceeded to tell me she was providing live outdoor entertainment for the neighborhood. In more detail he said "she is out there kicking another lady's butt."
Once again my daughter was in another BiPolar episode and I had seen it coming on but since she is almost 18 and has moved out of our home, there is not much I can do about it except ask her to take her meds.
Her medication is in her coat pocket, which someone approached us and gave to us to give to April three days ago. I guess April had left her coat there a week earlier. So I knew without her pills for about 10 days or so she would be a bear to get along with.
Much to my surprise I heard that the other lady was drunk and holding her baby and showed up yelling at April and slapped her. April told her to stop and to go on home because she was not in shape to discuss their issues. When she put the baby down and someone took it inside. The lady slapped April again and at that point April just kicked her butt.
When it all came down and out into the open it was over a guy. April had baby sat for her ex boyfriend when the lady dropped the child off. April does love children. The woman got mad at her. She didn't want April near her ex boyfriend. So life goes on.
I just talked to April and she said "Mom how do you always find out what I do?" I guess it is God who allows me to feel with a mother's heart when things are going wrong with my children.
April may have a truck full of issues to deal with in her life but she will always be my baby girl and I will always be her mom. I love all my children and even when I do not like what they are doing. It does not diminish my love for them.
I have faith that after living life the hard way April will one day get it together and be a blessing to those who know her. That is my nightly prayer.
In the meantime it is nice to know even without her pills she is learning to control her anger and still out there "Entertaining the World." There's always a good laugh for everyone watching a cat fight. (smile)
