Well on March 14th, 2007, at 4 pm, the newest addition to our growing adoptive family arrived. His mom and dad named him Caleb Dwayne... the Dwayne part is after his proud papa Tegge.
His delivery had the hospital talking. The doctor had gone home saying call me when she is ready we have about another 4 hours or so before hard labor hits.
The nurse and her husband placed her on the birthing ball and before they could even get her back in bed she said "Oh Wow....I have to push". Much to everyone's surprise Caleb just slid right into home. His daddy's careful hands caught him before he fell off the bed.
All week long the nurses have come into her room and said "You are the one." Caleb's quick delivery made news all over the hospital.
Both mother and baby are doing fine and will be coming home from the hospital on Friday. So I am a very proud Grandma again.
My husband lit up like a Christmas tree when they told him that Caleb was sporting his grandpa's middle name. As I get older and I see how much love my husband has for children, I fall in love all over again with him.
For a man whose wife could not bear children, to make the decision to choose me, and my life over having our own children, then to adopt and create our own family through loving someone else's children... I just feel blessed all the way around. Life is amazing.
