Product Review: "Read With Me" System

There are many different learning toys out there on the market today. Most come with video or CD or DVD interactive learning resources.

One of my personal favorites is the "Read With Me" system. It has been on the market for about two years and was a volume market over the past Christmas holiday.

We purchased it for our daughter Angela. She is in first grade and we were amazed at the volume of words that they were responsible for learning prior to moving on to second grade.

The read with me system comes with an interactive DVD and a book. She reads along with the DVD by moving her pen underneath the words. After each page or so there is a question log. That asks the child about what they have read. They attempt to answer the questions and thus they learn reading comprehension also.

It has helped Angela with words and sounding out words. It entertains her for an hour at a time. Even with the mild dyslexia that we fear she has, this system seems to help her over come her fear of the words and of reading out loud.

Another wonderful system, is: The Reading Rabbit CD's for computer. The Jump Start computer games are also a wonderful system of learning and fun for children who have access to a computer.

They teach alphabet, numbers and music by applying songs to games. The children interact with the CD program by using the mouse and or key board. They can be purchased for about 12.99 each. From the Jump Start Toddler through the First and Second Grade system.

The "Read With Me" System costs 29.95 in most stores. They have several books that can be purchased as the child's reading improves. The books range in price from 11.99 to 19.99.

These are just a few of the cool toys that the kids can learn with and enjoy. If you have any ideas or any experience with a learning toy that has helped your child....please leave us some good comments.
The more we share the more we learn.
