Sea Horses, Zebra Fish and The Second Grade Play

Tonight my husband and I will be spending our time watching our 8 year old daughter in her Second Grade School Play.

Of course she is the light of our world. When life gives us lemons she is there to turn our sour smiles into lemon aide.

From the first moment we met her and she was placed into her daddy's arms at the tender age of 8 days old. She has given us joy and taught us to believe in Maricles.

She is growing up on us so fast. Her teacher says she is a "social butterfly." Her work seems to always get done and turned in on time. So as parents we grin and enjoy all the compliments they give us on how well our daughter is doing.

Tonight she will be dressed like a cowgirl.....as she pretends to be a sea horse in the school play.
To us she is the cutest little sea horse on earth.
I am sure there are several other parents feeling the same way tonight as their children join ours in acting out their myth from under the sea.

Our daughter has a friend that can not hear so she will also be doing the songs in sign language. We are so proud of her.

I am so excited and there is no other place on earth that I'd rather be tonight than watching my beautiful little daughter make good memories at her school play.

I know biological parents must be excited when they see their children up there on stage too...but for a barren woman who could not give birth to my own children. To be able to raise a baby and watch her grow into this amazing little person. It is a feeling that words alone can not express...when you get to sit there and watch your life's blessing dance and do sign language on stage.

Life could not be sweeter than it is right now to be me.....Thank you Angela and God for making me a mom. A quiet thank you and a soft spoken prayer goes from my heart to God's ear for the birth parents of my daughter. She is the most precious gift in the world.
