Pack your bags. Take warm clothes and don't forget extra socks. A toothbrush, some paper to write home and get some sleep. Summer Camp is just a few short days away.

What a great place to meet new friends. Sing camp songs, explore the woods around you, learn to play games and be a team player. Kids from every where will be there. Learning and sharing all the new activities with you. Friendships can be made that will last a life time.

For every good thing about summer camp. For some there is a bad thing. Some kids are scared. They have not been to camp before. They do not know what to expect.

Fear for first time summer campers is a natural thing. You may send them off with a few tears in their eyes and yours too. But I am almost positive that when they come home you wills see a "Happy Camper" returning. Singing camp songs and telling stories of their big adventures at summer camp.

Almost every boy and girls club or church youth group offer children a chance to attend summer camp.
They usually have trustworthy young adults who will teach the kids new games and encourage them to participate in the fun activities.

Good memories are often made around the camp fires in the evenings. When story time is open for all to share in. Being with other kids the same age and learning about one another and how team work creates good fun. Is all apart of a good summer camp experience.

If you have children and they have never been to camp you may want to check into what summer camp programs are available in your area. They usually run from one to four weeks. They do not cost much and some help with covering costs can be found through summer programs for the youth.

It might be a nice way to provide the kids with a fun experience and you with a little free time.
Summer Camp is a good thing for kids of all ages.
