The first few years after you adopt an older child. They may not be so used to the fun that is out there around holidays such as Halloween.
So sometimes having a Halloween get together at your place is a great idea to teach them how to have good, clean, safe fun.
What To Do:
1.) Have the kids make some colorful Halloween decorations in all the fall harvest colors.
2.) Rake the leaves up all around the party area if you are having it out in your back yard.
3.) Think of some good games. Like an apple toss, diving for apples, hidden sand chest, or pen the face on the pumpkin.
4.) Provide some good spooky music.
5.) Make it a dress up party. Everyone comes in their Halloween costumes.
6.) Invite a few parents too.
7.) Keep it like a snack menu...with apples, apple cider, donuts, chips, juices and hot dogs.
8.) Make a creepy Jello in green, orange and black.
9.) Make a coffin cake. Kids will think that's cool.
10.) Encourage the kids to jump and have fun in the fall leaves. To play hide and seek. Or just play tag.
This is a great way to ease into the Halloween Holiday Fun and to keep your friends safe. Maybe before the kids leave make a date to trick or treat together.
It also helps you get to know the parents of your child's friends. My wish for you is a Safe and Spooky Halloween. Any cool recipes or party hints are appreciated . Leave a comment.
