This amazing work of color is all hand blown glass.
It is four stories tall and is in the middle of the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, Indiana.
One of our last minute family vacations with Grandma Bears. Included a visit to this fantastic museum.
Where they have everything from an exhibit on "Bob The Builder" for the toddlers in your life to a "Palentologist" exhibit where they are presently cleaning the carcus of a dinosaurs. Which will take approximately five years to clean and place on display.
What impressed us the most is that the museum is an interactive museum for children and parents of all ages. They have a land of dinosaurs where they have on display several types of bone structures.
They have a sliding X-Ray which reveals the broken bones in the skeletal system of one of the dinosaurs.
There are computer centers where children can create a dinosaur and learn about how it lived. What it ate?
And how it smelled.
Then it was off to the Carosell. Which was found in the old barn on a property that someone bought in 1860. The person paid to have it restored and donated it to the children's museum. Where children can buy a token and ride any animal of their choice right there inside the museum.
I would tell any parent to plan a trip to visit this museum. It is one of the most educational and fun exhibits that we have ever experienced. It would be wonderful for school trips and for families of all types.
The adults enjoy this museum just as much as the children do. It is one of those places that you have to make plans to return to soon. You just can not take in everything they have to offer in the five floors of exhibits in one day.
Feel free to visit the web page and see for your self.http://www.childrensmuseum.org/themuseum/fireworks_ofglass/index.htm I know it will be one of our top vacation weekends for next years plan. I hope it will be on your to do list too.
