The Church Halloween Party

With kids safety in mind. The local churches and community centers in our home town have begun having Halloween Party's for the children.

I loved the idea the Pastor had of making it on what the world calls "Devil's Night" and calling it "Angel's Night." He told all the children to come dressed as their favorite bible characters.
Which put a fun spin on the party theme.

Everyone in town was welcome to come and have Apple Cider, Pizza, Apple donuts and of course candy treats.

The community center also chimed in and opened the doors on Halloween night for a Halloween Party for everyone who wanted to attend.

It is giving new meaning to the traditional thoughts of trick or treating. It seems to be much safer and with the Police there checking candy and handing out more treats. It has a lot of potential for becoming a yearly town event.

Our church does "Trunk or Treat". The children come in costume and so do the adults. After a hot dog supper all the children go out to the parking lot and go "car-to-car" as costumed adults hand out candy. There are prizes for the "best decorated car" the "most creative treat" (local dentist dressed as a tooth and handed out toothbrush kits) and then back inside for costume competitions, cake walks, apple bobbing, pin the tail on the black cat, etc. For the older children there is also a pinata. It is fun for the whole family without wandering door-to-door and visiting strangers!

MammaS,

That sounds like so much fun. It has spread all over our area also. When I heard about it I thought "Wow thats a cute idea."

The local news did a nice job at showing us what it was all about.

I am sure your Church did a beautiful job. Thank you for your comment it made me smile. God love your local dentist. What a great person.

Hugs,
Shar
