The Compassion of Adoption

As time has passed by families have carried on. No matter what beset them. They kept their faith and loved one another.

When the settlers decided to move out west. They went by wagon trains pulled by horses. Many people got sick and died on their way to a new home. When this happened other families took compassion on the children who had lost their parents to the harsh weather of the Wicked Western Trails.

These families that were apart of the wagon train took in the children and they became part of a new family and carried on their way West to their new home.

In todays world we no longer are going a crossed country or facing the wicked weather alone. We have homes in subdivisions and cities. We loose our families today by drugs and alcohol abuse. The children with parents who are not providing for them
find friends with families, where they can fit in and feel at home.

This is a common occurrence in towns a crossed the nation today. As the substance abuse grows and engulfs more and more adults. There are more and more children out there surviving on their own by finding friends who let them spend the night and eat over at their house.

In many ways it is as much the same as losing their parents to death. And in many ways even more cruel.
The children see their parents stop living and being who they were. They survived for their next fix. Physical abuse and mental abuse of the children grows by the millions each year.

It is by the compassion of the people who care and donate their hard earned money to special programs and who pay taxes as they work hard for their own families, that keeps the children healthy.

For those of you out there that are doing your part to help keep families together. We extend our sincere appreciation. If your family is like mine. We give until it hurts. We often do not have the money in our budget to help the many people that God sends our way.

It is heart breaking to see hungry children in America. It is the land of the brave and of the free. As we each enter the holiday season that will be approaching us I encourage everyone to do their part. To lend a helping hand or be supportive and smile.

In our state of Michigan many families are without income due to closing of business' and the Unemployment rate is rising. Our children will need warm coats, hats and gloves. They will need warm food in their stomach and, they will need the support and love of their families.

Adoption has been around for ages. It just was not tied by all the red tape and paper work or home inspections. The compassion of adoption is alive and doing well. Where there is a need. God will fill it with whom ever will respond to his call.

Thank you for your support and love that you give to that neighbor next door or the little boy who is always giggling around your dinner table. This is just one way God works with compassion as we adopt and love our neighbors, friends and family.
