The Day After Thanksgiving: The Biggest Shopping Day Of The Year?

I some how doubt that the Pilgrims were thinking of Christmas Shopping after they had their big Harvest Meal.
I also think that relaxing and watching a football game or thanksgiving day parade was their cup of tea either.

We have come along way from the true meaning of the first Harvest Thanksgiving Day Meal. Maybe it is the strive to exercise that makes people go out of their way to wake up early and tread out in the cold to hit the sales on the day after thanksgiving.
Or maybe it is just the fact that they get great deals.

Whatever the main reason is.....Thanksgiving seems to be a big push off into the Christmas Shopping and Holiday Season.

Maybe we are so thankful and we just realize what our families and friends mean to us and need to show them in a gift or token of our love and thankful heart to have them in our lives.

What shocks me is How does anyone have any money left to shop after buying and making dinner for so many people? Every year I end up broke and watching the sales pass me by.

I dream of the day when I have enough money to shop and not count how much I have to spend. When you buy for a large family you always seem to count the pennies. Or at least every family I know has too.

For those of you who are off to a wild shopping experience today. Remember to be kind and bless others as you rush on with your giving.

For those of you like me who will roll over in bed and sleep an extra few minutes. Say a prayer for all those people out there catching the sales.

What ever your day holds in store for you. Enjoy it and fill your life with happiness and love. That is the first step to a happy holiday season.
