The Perfect Child Part II

When school began. The little girl was very shy.
She did not like staying away from the teachers.
Her second grade teacher was a man named Mr. Thomas.
It was hard to get to know Mr. Thomas. She would often studder and could not get her words out when she was asked a question by him.

Mr. Thomas kept making phone calls home. The sisters just did not know how to handle this new problem. So they invited Mr. Thomas to come to diner.

At diner they observed how their daughter studdered each time she had to speak around Mr. Thomas. Finally as the evening went on and they began to talk about every day things. Their daughters studdering began to subside. It was just taking time to get used to a Male teacher.

Mr. Thomas looked at the girl with a huge smile.
He knew now how to handle things and each day he wold whisper her name and say good morning as she came into class. That took the edge off of her worry and she began to relax around him and the rest of the class.

Through out the summer she joined the soccer team that Mr. Thomas coached for her third grade class.

Each week the sisters would tag along to practice and they would bring treats for all the kids.

One of the sisters became good friends with Mr. Thomas. They even went to diner together a few nights a week.

By the time the next year of school started. It was clear that the life of the sisters was about to change once more. Mr. Thomas had asked one of the sisters if she would be his bride.

Susan didn't know what that meant. So the sisters sat down with her and told her that this would mean that the one sister would go to live with Mr. Thomas in his home. They would be a new family.

Susan was not sure how she felt about this. She did know that she loved the sisters and she even cared a lot for Mr. Thomas. Time would have to tell.

Mr. Thomas and Adell had a beautiful Christmas wedding. But instead of them moving into Mr. Thomas' house. They decided to live in Adell's house.

Susan had everything she had ever wanted. A mom, a dad and her aunt living right with her. What child could ask for more?

Today Susan is still a blue eyed beauty. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and three kids.
Dan and Adell still live here in Michigan. It was my pleasure to meet Susan and become best friends with her in high school. The one thing about Susan.
She still studders when she gets excited but she talks a mile a minute. It took me a two hour phone call to get her permission to tell this story.
She only asked that I not use her last name.

Thanks Sue Sue for letting me share your life.
It was all in God's hands when the sisters began to search for their "perfect child." Who knew that a snotty nose bed wetter could fill those shoes...hehehe. God knew.
