Ok Mom or Dad. There are a few things that kids just seem to always need more of. Such as:
1.) Mittens or gloves
2.) Hats
3.) Socks
4.) Under Shirts
5.) Dry Pants
One of the best ways to solve this delima is to keep several pairs of gloves on hand. By a big package of socks and put it up for when the need for socks is being yelled at you at six in the morning...right before school.
Keep a pair of dry jeans or sweat pants tucked down inside your kids back pack. So when the school calls up and says " Your child got wet at recess can you bring them new socks or pants." You can say. No problem look in his or her back pack. Problem solved.
It is really hard for working parents to stop at the drop of a hat and cover simple issues like dry pants or gloves.
So it just is easier to cover the bases prior to the need. School began in September and I have already gone through 2 pairs of gloves for my Angela.
The third pair has this really cool ribbon that is long enough to threat through her jacket arms and down the other arm and attack her other glove to it too. Now she never takes off her gloves and drops them. They are hanging right there when she needs to put them on.
Who would have thought sewing a ribbon to each of her gloves could solve the mystery of her missing mittens.
I also send a package of dry socks to school with her and she leaves them in her desk or locker. As she and her friends need dry socks after recess...she opens her locker and WALA...dry socks.
I was a mess with my first daughter. Now I have the hang of it. Look out world. I'm a professional mom now. Giggle. If you have any good suggestions for young moms...send them in. I wish someone had sent me a few. All comments are welcome.
