Toddler Health and Outside Play Time

If your toddler is in good health. There is no reason that you can not allow him or her playtime out doors during the winter months.

As long as you dress them warm. In snow suits, boots, hats and mittens. They are more than ready to get out and meet the snow. Of course as a parent you will want to be out there with them.

Don't forget the camera because the faces they make will be real Kodak moments. Great for any scrapbook you may be keeping.

Kids love to play in the snow. Of course it should be for short times. During the warmer part of the day. A planned snowman build or making snow angels or a mini size snowball fight is always fun.

It gets them used to the colder weather and will help keep cold season for them to a minimum. Kids who are sheltered to much often stay sick during the winter season. Children who are exposed to the weather more often and are allowed outside time seem to build antibioties and catch less colds.

Remember when coming in. Check feet and fingers and remove all wet clothing. Nice, warm, dry clothes and a warm cup of hot chocolate can top off a fun day for a wonderful little person. Hot chocolate can go into a sippy cup well. Just make sue it is not to hot and just right for your child's pallet.

So go out and play in the snow. Take lots of fun pictures. Make a lot of good memories. It is the season to be jolly. There's nothing like a good roll in the snow for your little snow angel.
