Well, Valentine's Day and all the excitement are over. It is another school day. No one wants to get up so early when it is below zero and bone chilling weather.
These are the kinds of days I like to snuggle my daughter and let her sleep as long as she needs; let her wake up to a warm breakfast and just be lazy.
I keep checking the school web site hoping they will read my mind and call off school for the day. However, I bet they won't.
Sometimes even the kids need a quiet morning. Angela likes school and if she is sick she knows that she can't stay home and then play with her friends later (they always seem to feel better after school is out). So I adore it when the city calls off school for the kids. It is like getting a free ice cream on a hot summer day. Staying home warm under those soft blankets really can make you wiggle and smile.
I have always enjoyed my time with my kids. I guess that is why my house is still full of kids. All of Angela's girl friends camp out here. Most of them call us Mom 2 and Dad 2.
One day some lady was at my door and she asked, "Are you Shar?" I said I sure am. Then we both giggled she just wanted to stop by and put a face to the voice. Her daughters love to spend time here and she was just curious. I invited her in for a glass of iced tea and we have been chat buddies ever since.
A lot of good things can happen on a snow day. Even on a Tuesday Blues day.
Life is a party someone slice the cake. (grin)
