Fortunately we're near DL places, I think I can send him to work at McDonalds with a driving daughter for six months. As for the requirement for a DL, I've learned that a state picture ID will work, I have another son who's unable to pass a DL test.<br />
Good luck to your daughter though, I hope y'all can get this worked out for her.

We also live in Georgia. My daughter lost her license for speeding and has not yet gotten it back -- it's been four years! She lost her job and can't get another due to lack of transportation -- many chain businesses REQUIRE a DL even if you don't have a car. She took the Driver Training class, but she hasn't saved up enough for the fine and she will have to retake the driving test itself. The only place to do that is a 3 hour drive away and you have to show up and wait for a chance -- you can't make an appointment! We went for two days, sat all day and never got a chance to be tested. I can't take any more time off work. The State Patrol says "A DL is a privilege, not a right" but if there is no public transportation a DL is a necessity, not a luxury!
