Let the Celebration of Life begin. We are now into the first day of a brand new year. One filled with hope and discovery.

This year will be whatever we work to make it. Yes I did say the word "Work." It is a proven fact that life takes a lot of will power and hard work to make it all that it can be.

Our children should be learning this also. That they must work hard for what they want to accomplish in life. Everything should not come so easy for them. In the past we have provided so much so quickly for our children that it has created lazy and self centered people.

The love and compassion that once filled the soul and eyes of our children is missing. Now we get a daily attitude and it's not one we always admire or like.

So in our home we are starting off the new year with a desire to inspire and teach compassion and endurance.

Angela is getting her very first daily chore list.
Until now we have just had her help around the house and pick up after herself. However after we have noticed her "Why do I have to do it" attitude.

We felt it is time to teach her that there are things we have to do daily to keep our life running smooth. Chores are just one of the main things.

She is 8 now and will be turning 9 so she is at a good age to understand why things need to be done.
She is great at taking care of her pets. She feeds and waters them daily. She also gives them baths as needed. However the clean the cage and poop detail is not one she is happy to help with. So guess who is cleaning the kitty litter and changing her rabbits cage beginning today. Smiles.

She already cleans her own room. So now we are working on getting her to bring her dirty laundry down to the laundry room on her own. She will also be learning to put away her laundry in the right places too.

So adding to the simple tasks she is already good at will be a good beginning.

I am very much looking forward to this year. I hope that it brings a prosperous and fulfilling daily life to all of our readers.

What type of changes will you be making in your daily life? We would love to read and share with you. Please leave us a comment to share with everyone. Happy New Year to one and all.
